CHASE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS
Searching for the Northern Lights is a bit like fishing — you never know exactly where or when they will appear. That is part of the adventure.
We leave the lights of Alta behind and head out into the Arctic night, using local knowledge, weather conditions and aurora forecasts to find the best possible viewing conditions.
With small groups of no more than eight guests, there is time to slow down, ask questions and enjoy the experience without the feeling of being part of a large tour group.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Every Northern Lights tour is different. Conditions in the Arctic can change quickly, and we may drive away from Alta in search of clearer skies and better viewing conditions. Along the way, your guide will share stories about life in the north, the landscape around us and the Northern Lights.
When conditions allow, we stop somewhere away from artificial light, slow things down and give you time to experience the Arctic night. There is no rush to simply take a photo and move on — the experience itself is just as important as seeing the aurora.

What to wear
Dress warmly for Arctic winter conditions. We recommend wool base layers, warm mid-layers, a windproof outer layer, hat, gloves and winter footwear.

Northern Lights
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings can never be guaranteed. We use weather forecasts, aurora forecasts and local knowledge to find the best possible conditions.
Weather
Arctic weather can change quickly. The route and location may therefore change during the tour.
Driving
Finding clear skies may require us to travel some distance from Alta. The driving itself is part of the experience, with stops whenever conditions look promising.
Cancellation due to weather
If conditions make the tour unsafe to operate, we may cancel the experience. Guests will be offered an alternative date or refund according to our booking terms.
